Qualifications

• Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3-years of experience as a Registered Mammography Technologist ARRT registered (RT) in radiography (R) and mammography (M).
• Preferred None.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day department operations; develop and implement policies and programs; may have budgetary responsibility.
• Perform essential Mammography duties including diagnostic imaging per protocols; communicate with patients and physicians; address concerns.
• Mentor and train staff and students; provide resources for the department.
• Ensure documentation for quality control, equipment maintenance, regulatory, billing, protocol and image distribution; maintain certifications and registries.
• Perform quality assurance activities, regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation.
• Implement radiation safety and patient safety standards; develop and standardize imaging protocols with radiation physics and division directors.
• Other duties as assigned.
