Urban Health Plan in Corona, NY, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening mammograms under the direction of the Radiology Administrator. The role is onsite at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT Mammography Certification, NYS DOH Radiology Technician License, 2+ years of mammography experience, and knowledge of digital 3-D with quality control. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired. Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Formación

• ARRT Mammography Certification is required.
• NYS DOH Radiology Technician License is required.
• Knowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control is highly desired.
• Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required.
• 2+ years minimum of related experience with mammograms is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients about the exam and ensure privacy and comfort.
• Perform screening mammography as ordered and complete documentation.
• Act as lead for the division in training other Mammography Technologists.
• Produce high quality films for radiologist evaluation.
• Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Maintain accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Serve as liaison between patients, radiologists, and support staff.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain competence.
