Job summary

Urban Health Plan is hiring a Mammography Tech for our Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens. This part-time role requires ARRT Mammography Certification and NYS Radiology license, with 2 years radiologic schooling.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography Certification is required.
• New York State DOH Radiology Technician License is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Digital 3-D imaging and Quality Control highly desired.
• Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about the exam and promote privacy and comfort.
• Perform screening mammography as ordered and complete documentation.
• Produce high quality films for radiologist evaluation with attention to detail.
• Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
• Assist in data compilation and maintenance.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator and Clinical Director, the Mammography Tech will perform screening mammograms with patients in our Plaza del Sol Family Health Center, located in the heart of Corona, Queens. We are accepting applications for Part Time Mammography Technologists, ideally with availability to work 2-3 shifts, regularly scheduled, between Mondays and Saturday shifts (8am-5pm) Compensation: Minimum $60.00/hour; Maximum $64.00 per hour- Contingent on years of experience performing Mammography Exams in the capacity of an ARRT(R)(M).

Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT Mammography Certification.
• NYS DOH Radiology Technician License
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly desired to best serve our patient population.
• Knowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control highly desired.
• Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
