Urban Health Plan in Corona, NY, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening mammograms under the direction of the Radiology Administrator. The role is onsite at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT Mammography Certification, NYS DOH Radiology Technician License, 2+ years of mammography experience, and knowledge of digital 3-D with quality control. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired. Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator, the Mammography Technologist will perform screening mammograms at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient education regarding the exam, promote patient privacy and comfort.
• Perform screening mammography as ordered. Completes appropriate documentation.
• Acts as lead for the division in supporting training of other Mammo Techs.
• Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluation.
• Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Serves as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists and other members of the support team.
• Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence.
• Perform all duties using proper body mechanics, including manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.

Starting Compensation

Minimum $60.00 per hour; Maximum $64.00 per hour contingent on established years of experience practicing with ARRT(M) Licensure.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule
