Job summary

Urban Health Plan seeks a Part-Time Mammography Technician to perform diagnostic and screening mammograms at our Bronx flagship site El Nuevo San Juan. Two to three shifts weekly, including Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm. Compensation: $60.00–$64.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Ideal candidate holds ARRT Mammography Certification and NYSDOH Radiology Technician License, with 2+ years of mammography experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography Certification.
• NYSDOH Radiology Technician License.
• Knowledge of Digital 3-D imaging and Quality Control.
• Completion of 2-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about the exam, promote privacy and comfort.
• Perform diagnostic or screening mammography as ordered with documentation.
• Lead training of other Mammography Technologists.
• Produce high-quality films for radiologist evaluation with attention to detail.
• Perform quality control related to mammography.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Serve as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists and support staff.
• Participate in continuing education and learning experiences.
• Perform all duties with proper body mechanics and coordination.
