Job summary

Urban Health Plan is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Bronx, NY, to perform diagnostic and screening mammograms at our flagship site. The role requires ARRT mammography certification, NYS radiology license, and at least two years' experience, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Onsite, full-time with comprehensive benefits. Starting compensation ranges from $60.00 to $64.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator, the Mammography Technologistwill perform diagnostic and screening mammograms at our Bronx- Based flagship site El Nuevo San Juan. Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT Mammography Certification
• NYS DOH Radiology Technician License
• Knowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control highly desired.
• Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• 2+ years minimum of related experience with mammograms (both screening and diagnostic)
• Bilingual Spanish/English highly desired.

Responsibilities Include :

• Complete patient education regarding the exam, promote patient privacy and comfort.
• Perform diagnostic or screening mammography as ordered. Completes appropriate documentation.
• Acts as lead for the division in supporting training of other Mammo Techs.
• Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluation, pays attention to detail.
• Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Serves as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists and other members of the support team.
• Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence.
• Perform all duties using proper body mechanics, including manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $60.00 per hour; Maximum $64.00 per hour contingent on established years of experience practicing with ARRT(M) Licensure.
