Job summary

Americold is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor/Lead for our New Jersey site. You will oversee maintenance associates, lead troubleshooting and repairs of refrigeration and material handling equipment, and coordinate contractors to meet safety and performance standards.

You will maintain preventive maintenance records, drive continuous improvement, and support technician development across shifts, while ensuring compliance with OSHA PSM and CMMS usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, or minimum 2 years with supervisory/lead experience.
• Skilled in industrial refrigeration, material handling equipment, dock doors/levelers, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Complete assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses and obtain HAZMAT certification.
• Experience with OSHA PSM programs and proficiency in CMMS and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide maintenance associates to meet department objectives.
• Perform operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Monitor performance, recommend corrective actions, and analyze reliability/availability.
• Troubleshoot building and equipment systems to drive root-cause analysis and solutions.
• Direct and oversee contractor work and ensure safety/compliance with specs.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and lead site improvement initiatives.
• Support capability development of technicians and communicate across shifts.
• Additional duties as assigned.
