Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician in Edgewater, NJ to maintain and enhance apartment communities, diagnose complex issues, and mentor junior technicians. The role emphasizes safety, timely repairs, and resident satisfaction.

You will oversee maintenance operations across properties, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure vacant units are ready for occupancy while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing and electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license and HVAC (CFC) certifications or willingness to learn.
• Able to work on-call schedule and communicate with residents.
• Ability to read policies and SDS and handle chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry and safety systems.
• Organize and complete work orders and maintenance tasks to standards and within timelines.
• Ensure vacant apartments and garages are rent-ready with turnkey work as needed.
• Train and oversee Maintenance Technicians I and II on tasks and safety.
• Perform apartment Preventative Maintenance and daily inspections for needs.
• Maintain safety culture and follow all Vivmark policies and procedures.
