Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Lead (EPA Certification required) to support the Exchange at the Beach community. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, assist with make-ready, and help ensure the property is safe, attractive, and well-maintained for residents and guests.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, HVAC and trade certifications, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead a team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trade experience.
• EPA certification and/or trade certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Assist with apartment make-ready operations and ensuring vacant homes are prepared for occupancy.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations, work order prioritization, and team coordination as needed.
• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing fixtures, appliances, HVAC equipment, and other building systems.
• Conduct inspections of apartments, common areas, building systems, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Assist with groundskeeping activities, including trash removal, pressure washing, landscape upkeep, and maintaining appearance of the community.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and maintenance records.
• Support vendors, contractors, and onsite teams to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency maintenance requests.
• Follow OSHA standards, safety policies, and procedures; promote a safe community environment.
