Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Lead to perform advanced maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of building systems while leading maintenance activities. You will support the Facility Manager, coordinate vendor work, and ensure safe operation of life safety, BAS, and mechanical infrastructure.

You will distribute tasks, supervise vendors on site, and drive workflow improvements across departments to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–8 years of related maintenance experience required.
• Trade license preferred; multi-trade skillset strongly preferred.
• Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) issues using blueprints/specifications.
• Monitor and control building systems through the BAS.
• Inspect building equipment, life safety, and card access systems.
• Coordinate required system shutdowns and estimate labor/materials for repairs.
• Track maintenance schedules and equipment repair history.
