Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance in Denton, TX to oversee property maintenance and make-ready for new residents. You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, supervise subcontractors, and ensure service requests are completed within 24 hours.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, EPA credentials, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience or a trade with basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform make-ready tasks for units prior to occupancy.
• Replace filters and clean HVAC vents; perform HVAC repairs as needed.
• Carry out light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as required.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, water, gas shutoffs, and sewer lines; manage basic locksmith tasks.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate maintenance with property management.
• Schedule and manage on-call duties and standby coverage.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and stock levels.
