Job summary

The Maintenance Technician – Lead for West Texas / New Mexico will oversee daily repair operations and mentor a team of skilled trades technicians supporting CBP facilities in El Paso, TX. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, and adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Apprenticeship or trade program in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
• ISO/AS9100 quality standards experience appreciated.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, track, and manage electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Decrease equipment downtime through high level troubleshooting.
• Provide redundancy coverage in sectors.
• Create and maintain equipment traceability.
• Apply ISO, AS9100 and other quality standards across programs.
• Interface with CBP stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Produce monthly operation status reports and drive improvements.
