Job summary

Life Care Services' Casa de las Campanas in Rancho Bernardo, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician III. The role leads multi-department refurbishment tasks, ensures units are ready for new residents, and coordinates trades to complete work.

Requires 4–6 years of commercial maintenance, ability to read blueprints, valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical, Painting or Locksmith experience preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years’ experience in commercial maintenance; journeyman level.
• Intermediate experience in the various trades.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Must be able to work alone most of the time without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and operate as a lead of multi-department refurbishment team.
• Make units ready for existing and new residents, remove items, check systems and appliances, and coordinate others to complete tasks.
• Perform maintenance duties: walls, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical repair and appliance installation.
• Oversee subcontractors for refurbishment projects with Physical Plant Coordinator.
• Perform painting and refurbishing tasks as directed.
• Perform skilled preventative maintenance as directed.
