Job summary

KBR in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and lead daily maintenance activities for light/medium wheeled vehicle fleets. You will implement training, monitor performance, and help achieve department goals while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, technical insight, and effective communication to optimize maintenance operations and asset readiness for the MCPP program.

Qualifications

• Must pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance; U.S. citizen required.
• Associate’s degree or BS coursework in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of directly related work experience with 2 years in supervisory role in motor transport.
• Must have completed the motor transport maintenance officer course, or equivalent.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare parts.
• Ability to analyze maintenance, repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics in automotive maintenance, inspection, and repair of light/medium wheeled vehicles.
• Ensure equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, and control of maintenance assets.
• Determine work sequence and assignments based on priority to optimize equipment, facilities, and personnel.
• Keep inventory of repair parts and requisition replacements.
• Inspect work for compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate department activities with other departments and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide training to mechanics and recommend procedural improvements.
