Job summary

Brookfield Properties in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance for a high-complexity multi-unit property. You will supervise the maintenance staff and coordinate repairs across mechanical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks.

You will diagnose problems, perform or assign repairs, and liaise with contractors to obtain bids. A High School diploma is required, HVAC and license preferences apply.

Qualifications

• 3 - 4 Years: Commercial or Multi-unit Property – Required
• Computer and smart phone literacy required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.
• Note: 5 - 7 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
• HVAC (depending on property needs) - Preferred
• Valid Driver's License (depending on property needs) - Preferred
• Electrical - Preferred
• Appliance – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates efforts of the maintenance staff.
• Recommends new hires, discipline, and contributes to performance appraisal.
• Training, coaching, and communications to the maintenance staff.
• Performs or assigns work to repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning.
• Diagnoses problems and repairs or replaces components.
• Performs or assigns carpentry duties (doors, jambs, moldings, hinges, doors/locks).
• Performs or assigns electrical duties (lighting, wiring, circuits).
• Performs or assigns plumbing duties (sinks, toilets, faucets, pipes).
• Interfaces with contractors and vendors; creates specifications and secures bids per bid process.
