American Communities, a family-owned real estate company dedicated to revitalizing apartment communities, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support the maintenance team across properties.

You will oversee daily maintenance operations, coordinate trades, manage service requests, and help control expenses while ensuring resident satisfaction and safety. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• EPA/Freon certification (Type I & II or Universal) required.
• 4–6 years of related maintenance experience; 2+ years supervisory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, schedule, and support the maintenance team.
• Oversee daily maintenance operations and vendor projects.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, and more.
• Manage service requests, make-readies, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and oversee invoices.
• Assist with budgets and control maintenance costs.
• Ensure resident service excellence and timely response to requests.
• Coach staff, manage schedules, and monitor overtime.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support other communities as needed.
• Promote a safe, professional work environment.
