Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising mechanics, managing repair orders, maintaining safety protocols and coordinating with managers, drivers, and admin staff. A CDL and prior supervisory experience are required, with ASE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years in vehicle/hydraulic maintenance or welding.
• Minimum of two years supervisory or lead role experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; Waste Pro requirements to operate trucks.
• Mechanic school or ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safety and productivity.
• Supervises a team responsible for repair, installation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment.
• Prepares and reviews repair orders; tracks labor, materials and parts.
• Recommends hiring actions, coaches and evaluates performance; trains staff in proper methods and safety.
• Develops and maintains relationships with managers, drivers, and mechanics.
• Identifies parts needs and procures within budget; refers major purchases to Maintenance Manager.
• Participates in safety lane process; reviews DVIRs, sets repair priorities, and inspects trucks and tools.
