Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Maintenance Planner to lead scheduling and planning activities in the Sierrita operation near Tucson, AZ. You will coordinate with site supervisors, maintain SAP-based schedules, and ensure timely maintenance work to support safe production.

The role requires strong planning skills, mining/industrial experience, and solid communication abilities, with onsite work and field presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning/scheduling within mining or industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of maintenance management systems and related applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of mining/processing equipment function.
• Proven ability to collaborate with site supervisors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload activities by planning, scheduling, measuring and analyzing maintenance work.
• Manage information systems to support planning objectives.
• Establish and monitor planned schedules with supervisors; run regular planning meetings.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting processes and outcomes in the area.
• Provide guidance to junior planners on Freeport-McMoRan practices.
• Support budget forecasting and availability of materials and resources.
• Develop, monitor and adjust schedules in SAP.
• Collaborate with planners and supervisors for long-range planning.
• Maintain integrity of SAP data for assigned area.
• Generate regular and ad hoc performance reports.
