Job summary

OSI Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner Supervisor in Iowa to lead the planning team, coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance, and collaborate with production to improve reliability and uptime. You will supervise planners, manage SAP records, and drive efficiency across multiple plants.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience planning, scheduling, or coordinating industrial maintenance activities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to prepare detailed maintenance and repair reports.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of maintenance planners, including hiring, performance management, and coaching.
• Maintain equipment records in SAP.
• Plan and schedule corrective maintenance to maximize crew utilization.
• Coordinate outside service requests and manage purchase orders within budget.
• Utilize MS Word/Excel to plan activities and create training documents; use Visio for flowcharts.
• Track maintenance metrics and scheduling efficiency using reports and dashboards.
• Read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to support maintenance actions.
• Collaborate across plants to standardize preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage PM/CM activities and schedule corrective actions for production equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance planning to ensure GMP compliance.
• Possibly supervise clerical staff supporting CMMS and planning functions.
• Maintain repair records per company policies.
