OSI Group in Illinois seeks a Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager to plan, organize, and direct all engineering, project, and maintenance activity for the plant. You’ll supervise a team through Supervisors and Managers to keep operations reliable and compliant.

Responsibilities include capital budgeting input, equipment optimization, safety and regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to improve processes and reduce costs while mentoring hourly and salary staff.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 5–10 years in a food manufacturing environment managing a maintenance team.
• Experience troubleshooting and developing junior maintenance staff.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of federal, state, local regulations for manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.

Aufgaben

• Plan, coordinate and direct design, layout, installation, and maintenance of building and production equipment.
• Plan schedules and ensure 24/7 maintenance coverage.
• Set targets for department efficiency and coach supervisors to achieve them.
• Identify vendors for construction and maintenance and negotiate costs.
• Recommend improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical assistance to production and diagnose problems to improve operations.
• Maintain accurate regulatory and maintenance records.
• Monitor utility usage and implement cost-saving measures.
• Assist in capital budget development and project requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and support other facilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and environmental requirements.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc project reports.
• Coach and manage performance of hourly and salaried staff.
