Job summary

Lake Forest School District is seeking a Lead Maintenance professional to oversee and support daily maintenance operations. The role involves coordinating work, providing direction in the supervisor's absence, and ensuring safety compliance across District facilities.

Responsibilities include prioritizing requests, communicating status to the Building and Grounds Supervisor, and coordinating urgent maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a current LFSD Skilled Craftsman.
• Ability to coordinate daily maintenance needs and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to Maintenance employees in the absence of the Building and Grounds Supervisor.
• Assist with coordination and prioritization of maintenance work requests and daily assignments.
• Communicate maintenance needs, concerns, and the status of work requests to the Building and Grounds Supervisor.
• Assist in coordinating District maintenance needs requiring timely or emergency response.
• Support the organization and accountability of maintenance equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
• Assist with identifying maintenance needs and recommending resources, materials, or equipment necessary to address those needs.
• Promote compliance with District procedures and applicable safety practices during maintenance operations.
• Refer personnel matters, employee concerns, and matters requiring supervisory action to the Building and Grounds Supervisor.
• Performs other Lead Maintenance responsibilities as assigned by the Building and Grounds Supervisor consistent with the scope of the EPER position.
• Special requirement: Available to respond to maintenance issues and emergencies outside of the regular work day.
