Job summary

Spring Lake Park Schools is seeking a Night Lead Custodian to coordinate custodial and maintenance duties, oversee the night crew, and ensure a clean, safe school environment. The role includes supervising staff, training new employees, and responding to building issues after hours.

Candidates should have custodial/building maintenance experience, boiler operations familiarity, and knowledge of safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Custodial and/or building maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
• Ability to read blueprint and schematic diagrams.
• Knowledge of building codes, accessibility guidelines, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems.
• Boiler operation and preventive maintenance skills.
• Available to respond to emergencies.
• Boilers license at specialist level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform custodial and maintenance duties to protect the school building
• Provide work directions to night crew and monitor performance
• Train new employees to meet district standards
• Perform nightly custodial tasks and maintenance duties
• Monitor building conditions and report issues promptly
• Operate and monitor HVAC and boiler systems
• Ensure safety procedures and report injuries
• Support event setup and cleanup as needed
