Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of a correctional facility and lead maintenance staff. The role involves directing, scheduling, and ensuring safe operation of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 7+ years in maintenance, and 2+ years in a supervisory role. Knowledge of MS Office and an EAM system is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Seven years of experience in general construction or plant/institutional maintenance is required.
• Two years of supervisory experience is required.
• Additional qualifying education or technical training may substitute for experience up to four years.
• No substitution for supervisory experience.
• Experience with building systems and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the correctional facility and supervise staff and inmates/residents.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and predictive maintenance replacements.
• Review and diagnose maintenance work orders for cost-effective repairs.
• Assist in decision-making on personnel actions and prioritize work.
