Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Department of Corrections, seeks a Facility Maintenance Supervisor I to manage grounds maintenance, assign inmate workers, and ensure a safe, secure environment at the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex.

You will oversee repairs, coordinate with inmates, and ensure timely work orders while following safety procedures in a correctional facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of building/grounds/general trades maintenance experience.
• Substitution rules apply for education/experience as described in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Identifies maintenance needs or repairs and performs basic repairs of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance issues.
• Prioritizes and verifies completions of work orders.
• Requisition maintenance tools and supplies and needed.
• Supervises and assists offenders in daily maintenance and repair tasks while maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
• Tracks assignment of tools and parts.
