Job summary

TMS International is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its West Mifflin, PA site. The role leads daily maintenance operations, supervises a 24/7 team, and drives safety, reliability, and continuous improvement for critical equipment.

The candidate will hands-on troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, collaborate with Operations to plan repairs, and manage procurement while controlling costs. A strong leadership background and OSHA familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience; 5 years in a leadership role preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Welding experience a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must pass drug screening and physical.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable equipment availability while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff in a 24/7 environment; hire, train, and manage team members and contractors.
• Perform hands‑on troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Collaborate with Operations to plan and prioritize repairs, including preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures; ensure OSHA and company compliance.
• Manage procurement of tools, supplies, and parts; work with vendors to locate materials and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain awareness of operating costs and support budgeting, cost control, and planning for maintenance projects.
• Maintain accurate records, maintenance logs, and utilize ERP and Microsoft Office systems for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
