Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is hiring a Maintenance Tech/Machinist Lead to oversee mechanical and pneumatic assembly, troubleshooting, and service coordination. You will work with SOPs, BOMs, drawings, and engineering staff to ensure equipment meets data sheets and safety standards.

The role requires 7–10 years in maintenance in a converting facility or equivalent, with a two-year technical degree in mechanical systems and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Self-sufficient and cost effectively perform all required mechanical and pneumatic assembly operations.
• Complete knowledge of assembly drawings/blueprints at a complex level.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components.
• Mechanical assembly skills on large equipment a plus.
• Troubleshoot, adjust and debug to finalize most machine lines in house or at customer sites.
• Able to read manufacturing and engineering prints.
• Trained in Mechanical Assembly Standards and Engineering Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machines per SOPs and use documentation including BOMs, drawings, schematics.
• Identify non-conforming parts and suggest modifications or redesigns.
• Lead service communications with customers, contractors and internal teams.
