Job summary

The Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) facility in Honolulu seeks a Supervisory Maintenance position responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance staff and leaders, ensuring upkeep, repairs, and safe, compliant operation of guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and utility systems.

You will plan work, assign tasks, inspect results, coordinate with other departments, provide staff development, and enforce safety and housekeeping rules while managing resources and schedules.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible work experience in hospitality engineering and facilities maintenance performing leader or supervisory duties.
• Well-organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong working knowledge of major building systems and tracking orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan the use of subordinates, equipment, and materials on a weekly/monthly basis and establish deadlines and priorities.
• Direct and assign tasks; explain requirements and procedures, review progress, and adjust plans as needed.
• Recommend performance standards and conduct formal and informal appraisals; resolve issues with employees and union reps.
• Coordinate with other departments and ensure safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
