Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality, LLC is seeking an Engineer Lead at our Santa Clarita property. Lead the maintenance team, manage daily operations, and ensure our hotel runs efficiently with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.

You’ll oversee preventative maintenance, respond to guest requests, and coordinate with a skilled engineering crew to keep facilities in top condition. This role emphasizes hands‑on leadership and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record required.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and handle financial information and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance crew and assign projects to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest calls, handle work orders, and showcase carpentry, painting, plumbing skills.
• Maintain property safety by addressing hazards quickly and keeping systems compliant.
• Coordinate engineering team schedules and support events or meetings as needed.
• Respond to guest room fixes promptly and maintain a positive guest interaction.
• Inspect grounds, lights, irrigation, pool and spa health code compliance during regular patrols.
• Maintain maintenance records and assist with administrative tasks and event setup.
