Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton in Melbourne Beach, FL seeks a Chief (Maintenance) Engineer to lead all engineering operations. You will oversee emergency programs, energy management, asset protection, preventive maintenance, repairs, and the maintenance staff, aligning with the General Manager, brand standards, and regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, safety programs, and hands-on site oversight.

Qualifications

Five or more years of related experience in building management/engineering in the hospitality industry (preferred).
Track record in profitable Engineering management while maintaining integrity and professional standards.
Minimum of three years of managerial skills as the position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadlines, negotiations of contracts with vendors, analytical ability, and the planning, organization, development, and coordination of large-scale work projects.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

Direct all facets of engineering operations including emergency programs, energy management, asset protection, preventive maintenance, and repairs to equipment, structures, and grounds.
Direct the Maintenance staff, accounting/budgeting, asset protection, and inventory control.
Direct improvements in revenues and profit margins while maintaining quality.
Ensures the staff is proficient in sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Walk the property daily to identify issues and speak with associates.
