Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melbourne Beach Oceanfront seeks a Chief (Maintenance) Engineer to oversee all engineering operations, emergency programs, energy management, asset protection, and preventive maintenance. You will lead the Maintenance staff, budgeting, and inventory control while ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulations.

The role requires directing maintenance staff, coordinating with the GM, and driving cost-effective improvements to reliability and guest safety 24/7.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in building management/engineering in hospitality.
• Strong track record in profitable Engineering management with integrity.
• Minimum of three years of managerial skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of engineering operations including emergency programs and energy management.
• Direct Maintenance staff, budgeting, asset protection, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Walk the property daily to identify issues and supervise repairs.
• Lead safety programs and incident prevention.
