Job summary

Amazon Leo Satellite Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tech Ops Engineer II (Maintenance Engineer) to join the Equipment Engineering & Maintenance team at SEA99.

You will serve as a SME for critical manufacturing equipment and provide technical leadership for preventive and corrective maintenance across automated production systems, robotics, and process-critical equipment supporting satellite manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of automated production systems
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical/electrical systems and robotics
• Experience mentoring technicians and leading teams
• Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical drawings and performing root-cause analysis

Responsibilities

• Deliver with limited guidance; resolve site-level equipment issues impacting production
• Develop risk assessments and operational dashboards for critical equipment
• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks across production, engineering, and vendors
• Provide oversight for day-to-day equipment maintenance with Maintenance Manager
• Create SOPs, JHAs, and emergency procedures to improve efficiency
• Guide maintenance procedures for automated manufacturing equipment
• Evaluate equipment deficiencies and perform risk trade-offs
• Supervise troubleshooting of high-complexity electro-mechanical problems
• Mentor and develop technicians across teams
• Drive process improvements for uptime and reliability
• Coordinate vendor work with production schedules and approvals
• Support Ignition SCADA and related controls systems
