Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support Enterprise Maintenance across facilities. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, diagnose complex equipment issues, and lead maintenance on production machinery and tooling.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/electrical systems, CMMS expertise, and the ability to drive root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures. This position is based on-site in Merritt Island, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (ME/EE/IE) or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance engineering in manufacturing/aerospace environments.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms (Maximo or equivalent).
• Ability to read drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage PM programs for mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures and lead corrective maintenance with minimal downtime.
• Lead maintenance activities on production machinery and tooling.
• Document procedures, work instructions, and equipment records to standards.
• Manage work orders in CMMS with accurate labor, parts, and findings.
• Lead RCA to eliminate repeat failures and specify spare parts requirements.
