Job summary

Magnet HR SPP is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, oversee repairs, and ensure properties are well maintained.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate vendor work, manage inventory, respond to emergencies on call, and uphold safety and compliance. This full-time role requires practical trade knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, plus strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or property management preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general maintenance tasks.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians; provide guidance and training.
• Oversee routine maintenance, repairs and diagnostics.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; order as needed.
• Coordinate work with vendors and contractors; ensure quality.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies on-call; ensure resident safety.

MAINT. SUPERVISOR POSITION OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of our maintenance team and plays a crucial role in overseeing maintenance operations, conducting repairs, and ensuring properties are well-maintained. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining properties to the highest standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Delegate maintenance tasks, prioritize work orders, and ensure the efficient use of resources.

Maintenance and Repairs

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Inventory and Supplies

• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor and order supplies as needed to support maintenance operations.

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Coordinate and supervise work performed by third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance with agreements.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement of services and supplies.

Emergency Response

• Be available to respond to maintenance emergencies on a rotating on-call basis, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
• Coordinate emergency maintenance and repairs as needed.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and safety inspections.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance operations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in maintenance, property management, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
• HVAC and EPO Preferred

• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
