• Experience in disaster recovery planning and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing of database software, IBM utilities and fixes within sandbox before production rollout.
• Coaches less experienced DBAs.
• Schedules database tasks and ensures completion.
• Executes database recovery tasks during DR scenarios.
• Monitors performance to identify bottlenecks and recommends fixes.
• Applies tuning and optimization techniques to maintain performance.
• Collaborates with Applications Team to troubleshoot failures.
• Produces and maintains operational documentation (DR, naming standards, performance).
• Participates in Oncall rotation and occasional outages.
