Job summary

BD's Sandy manufacturing facility is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee machine shop operations, drive safety, quality, and throughput, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced medical device environment.

You will coordinate production planning, ensure GMP compliance, and partner with quality teams while supporting CNC setup and programming. This role offers on-site collaboration and growth within a global healthcare leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years of machine shop experience, incl. 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience in CNC machining environments required.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling and prioritization of jobs.
• Coordinate workflow across multiple work centers to meet production goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members; hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Foster a safety-first, collaborative team environment.
• Monitor daily production performance and drive efficiency and throughput.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle time.
• Ensure optimal machine utilization and proper equipment handling.
• Ensure adherence to GMPs and quality standards; safety compliance.
• Support CNC machining operations including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors to source better tools and workholding.
• Drive lean initiatives and continuous improvement across operations.
• Train employees on equipment use, maintenance, and safety.
• Manage resources including external vendors to support goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
