Job summary

PACS in Kansas is seeking a licensed practical nurse / licensed vocational nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. You will ensure compliance with regulations and maintain high quality resident care.

You will direct daily nursing operations, manage administrative tasks, charting, medication administration, and staff performance, while collaborating with physicians and the Nurse Supervisor to optimize resident outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited program and an active LPN/LVN license.
• Experience in long-term care and supervising nursing assistants.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and care plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Chart nurses’ notes and ensure accurate documentation of care and resident responses.
• Administer medications as ordered and verify resident identity.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating care plans and discharge plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and the Nurse Supervisor to optimize resident outcomes and safety.
