Job summary

PACS in United States is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in daily activities, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires leadership to direct day-to-day nursing operations and ensure adherence to facility policies.

The LPN/LVN will supervise staff, maintain documentation, administer medications as ordered, and collaborate with supervisors to plan and improve resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with the written policies and procedures established by the facility.
• Write resident charge slips and forward to the Business Office.
• Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
• Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff perform duties according to acceptable standards.
