Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned materials engineer to join our on-site team in Tucson, AZ. You will lead material and process development, characterization, and integration across Raytheon product lines, working within integrated product teams to advance signature control technologies.

You will perform material measurements, use computational EM tools, collaborate with customers and suppliers, mentor early career engineers, and manage projects with strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

STEM degree required; 10+ years relevant experience.
Experience in Low Observables or radar materials.
Experience with material characterization, testing, or design integration.
Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

Material and process development, characterization and system-level integration.
Material performance predictions and measurement tests.
Conduct material measurements and predict performance with CEM tools.
Work with cross-functional teams on signature control techniques in products.
Material formulation and development.
Fabrication process development and composites operations support.
Prepare engineering documentation and interact with customers and suppliers.
Mentor early career engineers and lead on product teams.
