Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Lead Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Auburn Hills, MI to drive daily material flow and supervise logistics operations onsite.

You will coordinate freight, mentor S/R Specialists, support Lean initiatives, and ensure safety while partnering with Purchasing. This role demands hands-on leadership, strong organization, and commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a business environment with logistics/supply chain experience.
• 2+ years in logistics, materials management, or supply chain roles preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain Hi-Lo and Overhead Crane licenses while employed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee movement of materials to ensure timely, accurate flow.
• Lead training and mentorship for S/R Specialists and leads.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives; promote standardized work.
• Act as SME for international shipping, freight, and systems.
• Operate or supervise safety-critical material handling equipment.
