Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Lead Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Auburn Hills, MI to drive material flow and oversee logistics operations onsite. You will coordinate freight, train SR staff, and promote Lean practices within a collaborative engineering-driven environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, safety focus, and the ability to mentor a team while maintaining compliance with OSHA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a business environment with 2+ years in logistics or supply chain.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee movement of materials in, through, and out of the facility ensuring timely, accurate flow.
• Perform SR Specialist duties as needed to support operations.
• Coordinate truckload freight by requesting quotes, analyzing proposals, and scheduling loads.
• Partner with Purchasing to manage freight-related purchase orders.
• Mentor S/R Specialists and trainees; support Lean and standardized work across logistics.
