Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Naperville, IL is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff and oversee daily tasks including driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross docking in line with service and cost objectives.

You will supervise processes, schedule workforce and equipment, participate in hiring, review truck runs and routes, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and financial policies while driving productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills are required
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• 2-4 years related functional experience
• Willingness to travel as necessary and to work the required schedule at the location
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly staff and ensure execution of daily tasks
• Supervise workforce and equipment scheduling
• Review truck runs based on location, volume, costs, and customer requirements
• Review daily orders for private fleet opportunities
• Supervise logistics operations including dispatch and documentation
• Evaluate and implement changes to improve dispatch/warehouse productivity
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and minimize overtime
• Maintain safety alignment with location strategy
• Assist in training and provide coverage when needed
• Understand site operating systems to ensure compliance and error resolution
