Job summary

Duolingo’s Localization team within Scaling Operations is hiring to turn high-volume localization work into durable, scalable systems across 30+ UI languages. You’ll own end-to-end programs that improve launch speed, quality, and efficiency.

Working closely with product, engineering, design, marketing, and language partners, you will help build systems that keep localization in lockstep with Duolingo’s growth and develop measurable outcomes for multilingual users.

Qualifications

• Localization strategy and systems for new features in collaboration with product, design, and engineering.
• Build and lead localization programs in a cross-functional consumer app environment.
• Proficient in managing workloads with AI, CMSs, and CAT tools.
• Excellent communication; influence and align diverse stakeholders to drive decisions.
• Define goals and metrics and translate insights into engineering requirements and scalable workflows.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation and system improvements to scale from 0-to-1 and beyond.
• Own the metrics for your vertical to improve strategy and prioritization.
• Cultivate relationships with partners to develop a localization strategy and roadmap.
• Establish workflows and tooling to increase throughput and quality.
