Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a Localization Program Manager to own end-to-end localization programs across multiple UI languages. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and language partners to scale content production, improve launch speed, and uphold quality while aligning with growth.

You will drive automation, own metrics, and socialize best practices with cross-functional teams, ensuring localization remains in sync with product roadmaps and user needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to craft localization strategy and systems for new features in collaboration with product, design, and engineering partners.
• Experience building localization programs in a cross-functional consumer app environment.
• Proficiency in managing and scaling workloads using technology, including AI, CMSs, and CAT tools.
• Excellent communication skills; able to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort defining goals and metrics and translating insights into engineering requirements and scalable workflow specs.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation and system improvements to scale localization from 0-to-1 and beyond.
• Own metrics for your vertical to improve strategy, decision-making, and prioritization.
• Cultivate relationships with partners to develop localization strategy and roadmap; socialize best practices.
• Establish workflows and tooling that increase localization throughput and quality across the system.
