Job summary

gpac in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join a well-established local electrical contractor with a strong backlog of commercial and industrial projects. You will independently manage estimates and help win new work in the Phoenix area.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, deep knowledge of local market pricing, and a track record of accurate takeoffs and bid strategies. This is a key, long-term role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background.
• Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of local electrical construction and pricing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies and final proposals.
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with project turnover after successful bids.
