Job summary

gpac, a national executive search firm, has been retained by a local electrical contractor in Arlington, TX to identify a skilled Electrical Estimator. This full-time position involves preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, serving as a critical link between design intent and field execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of estimating experience directly with an electrical contractor.
• Proficiency in Accubid, McCormick or Conest platforms and related estimating software.
• Knowledge of electrical installations, cost control methods and computerized estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal specifications and complete take-offs with detailed cost data.
• Analyze drawings to determine scope and estimate details.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site walks to verify field requirements.
• Support cross-discipline estimates and evaluate design alternatives for cost efficiency.
• Interface with clients during bid-walks and assist field operations with estimating needs.
• Maintain thorough documentation of supplier pricing and historical costs.
