Job summary

Entergy in Kosciusko, MS seeks a skilled power lineman to construct, maintain OH/UG lines, install transformers, regulators, and reclosers. You will climb poles, operate bucket trucks, read prints, and work on call for emergencies.

Requires 5 years of lineman experience, High School diploma, Class A CDL, willingness to travel, and ability to work irregular hours. EEI CAST test is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of lineman experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL.
• Must be able to work irregular hours and be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Construct, Build and Maintain OH/UG Electric Facilities with primary voltages up to 34.5KV.
• Installation, removal and maintenance of OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Installation of OH/UG transformers and wiring of transformer banks.
• Installation, including wiring of regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Driving of different sizes and types of trucks.
• Operate equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read and understand job prints and sketches.
• Recognize material(s) and their function.
• Setting and climbing of all sizes of poles in open areas, rear alleys and energized lines.
• Be available for on call duty and emergency response.
