White Lodging is seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team in Austin, TX. This kitchen leadership role is designed for an experienced line cook ready to step toward Sous Chef responsibilities, mentoring junior staff and keeping a high-volume hotel kitchen operating smoothly.

You will oversee daily BOH operations, lead by example, ensure food safety and recipe standards, and drive consistent quality across meals while supporting cost targets and guest satisfaction.

Competenze

• Experience leading or mentoring kitchen staff.
• Solid working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and techniques.
• Ability to stand and work at a fast pace in a high-volume kitchen.
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred, not required.

Mansioni

• Serve as a Sous Chef in training, overseeing BOH operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Mentor and collaborate with Entry Level Cooks, Line Cooks, apprentices, and stewards while managing daily food prep.
• Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal food safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards to meet financial targets.
• Check ingredient freshness; enforce recipe standards and portion control.
• Monitor guest feedback and influence food quality and service consistency.
• Foster a culture of cooperation, respect, and professional kitchen standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
