Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team in a hotel environment. This role advances experienced line cooks toward Sous Chef, leading daily back-of-house operations and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates are senior line cooks seeking a clear path to culinary management, with hands-on leadership experience across premium hotel properties nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring kitchen staff in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.
• Proficiency in sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, and garde manger.
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Sous Chef in training and oversee BOH operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Mentor and collaborate with cooks and apprentices while managing daily production.
• Follow F&B procedures, health dept. regulations, and food safety guidelines.
• Help maintain food and labor cost targets and ensure recipe standards.
• Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure portion control.
• Support guest satisfaction through consistent food quality and service.
