White Lodging is seeking a skilled culinary professional to mentor entry-level cooks and oversee daily preparation in our Austin food outlet. You will ensure adherence to F&B procedures, health regulations, and proper food handling, while helping manage food and labor costs.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking skills including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry and breakfast cookery.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods of time.
• Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices while overseeing daily preparation and production in your food outlet.
• Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
• Check freshness of foods and ingredients, ensuring all recipes and portion-use records are followed.
• Monitor and positively influence guest feedback scores through food quality and service consistency.
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
