Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group's Hilton Garden Inn in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking an AM Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare menu items, maintain kitchen standards, and support breakfast service with speed and accuracy.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of line cook experience in hotels or full‑service restaurants, and can obtain Food Handling certification within four weeks. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required, along with a positive attitude and strong work

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
• Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Check production schedule and pars.
• Establish priority items for the day.
• Inform the Chef/Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
• Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards.
• Inform the Chef/ Kitchen Mgr. of any shortages before the item runs out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period.

Core Responsibilities

• Set up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
